If you’ve ever been to a great show or concert and thought “Wow, that was really a spectacular performance,” behind the lead performer there was almost certainly an incredible, dedicated group of people helping make the event a success. However, the hard work of the team operating behind the scenes tends to go overlooked...this blog post is about thanking those people.

There are many others who play an incredibly influential role in my life. Notably my parents and sisters, who I cannot thank enough for their support and who are probably the only ones reading this blog (hi Mom, hi Dad ;). My swim coach Olivier Bresoux and the swim club CNSW, past coaches (especially Cedric, Edgar and Daniel), Robbie Billen, friends, Jul Clonen and the national federations for organizing all the international travel for the Belgian triathletes and so forth, must also be recognized for their instrumental contributions.
Now less than a week away from my first races of the season, I thought it was an important time to recognize the invaluable efforts of this team of professionals that surround me. No matter the outcome of the races to come, thank you for your dedication, time, expertise and energy.
In short, you are all superstars and now it’s my turn to rock n' roll!
